While in Michigan for a Summer, Lauren Jackson, Owner + Creator of MTN DOG T-Shirt Co., received a link from a dear friend detailing a t-shirt competition hosted by a climbing/environmental advocacy non-profit organization. She submitted what later evolved into the first product being the MOUNT RAINIER Tee. This experience ignited a creative spark for drawing and expressing the joy found in Creation and climbing. After returning home to Greenville, SC, she started MTN DOG T-Shirt Co. on a whim and has reached a growing community of climbers + earth lovers. Her family’s Bernese Mountain Dog, Lincoln, was a notable inspiration and is the beloved mug of this brand.

In July 2023, she began selling MTN DOG T-Shirt Co. at BlocHaven, a bouldering gym located in Greenville, SC and has continued to share her work in + beyond the southeast.

In January 2025, she started the sister company, THE WARE PROJECT, where she hand-makes functional pottery out of her garage. As of Fall 2025, MTN DOG / THE WARE PROJECT is also being sold at Booth #223 at Westside Market in Greenville, SC. She ultimately wants to use these creative projects to celebrate a love for the outdoors and support causes that help steward the earth and the people in it.
